A 300-rep bodyweight leg workout can build explosive power without any equipment. The circuit, detailed by Men's Health fitness editor Andrew Tracey, combines jumps and high-volume squats to hammer the lower body and jack up the heart rate.

The workout is simple but savage. It comprises ten rounds of three exercises for a total of three hundred repetitions. The breakdown targets the quads, glutes, calves, and hamstrings.

After a thorough warm-up, you start a running clock. Complete the ten rounds as quickly as possible while maintaining strict form. Rest only when necessary. Record your finishing time and aim to beat it in future sessions while keeping movement standards high. Once you can shave minutes off your time, adding a weighted vest is the next logical step.

How to Perform the Movements

Jump Squats begin from a shoulder-width stance. Push your hips back and bend your knees, dropping until your thighs are at least parallel to the ground. From the bottom, explode upwards as powerfully as possible, jumping into the air. The key is to cushion your landing with bent knees and sink immediately into the next rep. Aim for maximum height but prioritise soft, controlled landings, especially as fatigue sets in.

Alternating Split Squat Jumps start with one foot stepped back in a deep lunge. Your rear knee should be close to the ground. Explode upwards from this position, switching your legs in mid-air. Land with the opposite foot forward. Each landing counts as one rep, giving you five per leg each round. Keep your torso upright and focus on driving vertically, not leaping forwards.

Air Squats may seem the simplest but become gruelling. Place your feet just beyond shoulder-width. Push your hips back and bend your knees, descending until the hip crease passes below the knees. Drive through your feet to stand explosively, squeezing your glutes at the top. Maintaining good form here is critical when your quads are already cooked from the jumps.
